COMMITMENT |

This past week a manager made a statement to me that " Where are the nurses committent to our patients if you go on strike" My reply was "Where is McLaren's committment to our patients when patient safety is compromised". Dont be fooled by management using guilt to deter us. In 2000, they paid nurses $5000 a week and flew them into Flint from around the country. WHY did these nurses come here during our strike?, was it because they were so committed to people of Flint?. That is odd, we never left Flint , but they left their cities "So where was their committment to patients in their community?" Do not let McLaren ever question your committment, the mere fact that you continue to come to work under our current working conditions , Now that is "COMMITTENT". They ignore our Staffing acuity forms, they ignore our grievances, they ignore us in negotiations, but we keep coming to work , if that is not COMMITMENT , then I do not know what is. Alan Napier |
